Abstract
Taking drugs for the medicinal purpose is common, if a person is not consuming drugs at all, he/she can be considered as abnormal. It’s the number of drugs used to alter the normal mechanism of the body that calls the need for control drug testing.
Drugs, chemicals and biological substances, when consumed, smoldered or entered into the body from any other way, enter the blood and are converted into specific metabolites. These metabolites circulate throughout the body before being excreted via urine or sweat. Upon analysis, if the appropriate metabolites are present in a given sample, then evidence of drug misuse can be concluded through date rape drug testing.
Proper diagnosis is required to start the treatment of the effect caused by the overdose of drugs. The type of test sample required depends on the reason why you are opting for test, for example, if you want to test recently consumed drug, the test samples can be urine or blood samples, but if you are taking test to determine the drug consumed 3-4 days before, the sample would be hair strands.
Control drug testing covers drugs like date, rave, recreational, and street drug testing – GHB, Roofies, Molly, etc. So, if you doubt of any person who has taken drugs for any purpose, you can get him tested anytime.
Conclusions
In contrast to previous studies showing restricted effects of toxicological testing, restricted use of rapid urine drug testing increases effects on the management of suspected overdose patients in ED.
